Organizations in our local and national communities work tirelessly to serve and support children.
CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocates, is a network of volunteers who serve as advocates for children in the foster care system. These volunteers are appointed by a judge to represent the best interests of children who have experienced abuse or neglect and they work to ensure that these children receive the care and support they need while navigating the complex child welfare system.
In the court room they serve as the voice of the child, advocating for their best interests at every stage of the legal process. CASA’s impact extends beyond the courtroom, contributing to positive outcomes for children in terms of educational success, emotional well-being, and overall life stability.
For more information about CASA and how to get involved, you can visit their official website: National CASA/GAL Association for Children.
