Today commemorates the adoption of the Nineteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in 1920. Thanks to this Amendment, women gained the constitutional right to vote marking a pivotal moment in history.
Before anyone exercises their right to vote:
1. Educate yourself about the people running for public office.
2. Explore the policies and the impact on you, your community, and our country.
3. Critically assess whether the people and policies are in alignment with your values.
4. Take action and VOTE smart.
5. Be confident in your choice that you are making an informed decision.
Honor and respect the trailblazing women who fought for everyone to have the opportunity to vote by selecting a leader who is purposeful, passionate, and principled.
